Historicial Development: On May 12, 1923, Bona Lumber Company bought from C. W. Boon, Trustee for P. W. Bailey, J. B. Rawls, O. E. Rawls, and W. H. Lynch, a complete sawmill site. It included A fisher & Davis Mfg. Co. #3 24-foot Carriage sawmill, one extra headblock, a 6.5-inch by 36-inch shotgun feed, edger, two saws, trimmers, a boiler, a 60-inch Atkins inserted tooth saw, plus other accessories.
