Historicial Development: In 1905, J. H. Harvey and J. W. Hendricks were operating one of the last comb saw-gin-grist mills in East Texas. Their equipment included an Atlas steam engine and boiler, a sawmill outfit, one grist mill, and one cotton gin. They mortgaged the lot to D. K. Cason for $100 in November 1905.
