It mortgaged its entire plant to Continental Bank of Shreveport for $2,500 in 1907. In 1915, the Tenaha Lumber Company of J. L. Hartley and H. C. Conley, with its sawmill located near McFaddin Creek at Burns Spring, in Panola County, was in debt to firm of A. B. Hayden and H. C. Conley of Tenaha and delivered pine and oak lumber to Hayden & Conley to pay off the debt. The Tenaha Lumber Company was still listed in 1928 as running a sawmill at Tenaha.
