Historicial Development: J. D. Sitliff, according to county records, had a sawmill and shingle mill located about three miles southwest of Huntington in 1905 at Lindsey Old Lake. A. L. Wheeler and J. N. Roden leased the site and bought the sawmill property on a mortgage with W. M. Hall and S. B. Hayter, lumbermen from Huntington.
