History: | Edens Birth Lumber Company, later a part of the Southwest Forest Industries organization, and now part of a Champion, International plant at Corrigan, operated a small steam logging tram road in Polk County since 1923. It was probably phased out by 1950. Strapac's work notes the tram road of Edens-Birch Lumber Company operated at least two locomotives, one purchased from the Texas Long Leaf Lumber Company and one from the Texas and New Orleans.
Keeling lists the Edens-Birch Lumber Company at Corrigan with two rod locomotives. |
