History: | According to John D. Hanes, the lumber companies of Ab Scott, T. L. L. Temple, Sheets Brothers, and Queen City Lumber, all sawmilling enterprises located at Atlanta, operated a joint tram logging road in Cass County during the latter 1880s. Since Frank Grigsby was a partner of Temple and Scott, this tram may have been the East Texas Transportation Company that Grigsby sold to Ed Rand and H. J. Allen in 1891 for $36,000.
